Sadhana — the gentle discipline of daily devotion.
Sadhana is not about doing more; it is about showing up, one breath and one chant at a time. Choose a practice, set a daily rhythm, and let it deepen under the guidance of Amma Sri Karunamayi.
The Four Paths
Four ways to practice: choose what calls you today.
A complete sadhana weaves stillness, sound, study, and service. Begin with even one. There is no minimum — only sincerity.
Dhyana
Meditation
Sit in silence. Follow the breath, rest in awareness, and let the mind settle — the heart of our Institute of Meditation.

Mantra Repetition
Repeat a sacred name on a mala — Devi mantras, Om Sai Ram, or your ishta mantra. Sound becomes a steady anchor.

Read a little each day — Lalita Sahasranama, Sai Satcharitra, or the Bhagavad Gita. Reflection turns words into wisdom.

Find a way to serveA 40-Day Mandala
Commit to forty days. Let a practice become a part of you.
In our tradition, a mandala of forty days is the gentle container in which a new sadhana takes root. Keep it small and keep it daily — five minutes of meditation, one round of japa, a page of scripture. Consistency, not quantity, is the secret.
Choose one practice
Pick a single path above — meditation, japa, study, or seva.
Set a daily time
Same time, same seat. A fixed rhythm removes the daily decision.
Show up for 40 days
Even a single minute counts. Returning is the whole practice.
Track & reflect
Log each day below and watch your mandala fill in, day by day.
Your Practice Streak
Every day you return is a day you grow.
Log your sadhana each day and your calendar fills in — a quiet, honest mirror of your practice. There is no streak to break and no score to chase; the calendar simply remembers, so you can keep going with gentleness.
- Logs sync with the SRIM mobile app and member portal.
- Dedicate your practice to a loved one in need of healing.

Thursdays with Baba
Thursday is Baba's day. Many devotees read the Sai Satcharitra as a weekly saptah and live his two teachings — Shraddha (faith) and Saburi (patience).
